While Como has been making waves with significant incoming transfers this summer, the natural consequence of such activity is the need for player departures to balance the squad. One individual heavily linked with an exit is Alieu Fadera, the Gambian winger born in 2001. Despite Como`s ambitious project, Fadera`s future appears to lie elsewhere, although potentially still within Italy`s top flight.
Market signals indicate that Serie A clubs are actively monitoring Fadera`s situation. Leading the charge are reportedly Sassuolo and Cagliari, both positioning themselves in what could be described as `pole position` for securing his services. These clubs are understood to be keen on integrating the young wide player into their respective technical plans for the upcoming season. Not far behind, however, is Parma, who is also keeping a close eye on developments, ready to enter the fray should an opportunity arise.
Fadera`s statistics from the past season – one goal and four assists across 28 appearances – were certainly modest. These numbers seemingly did not convince coach Cesc Fàbregas to make the winger a central figure in his strategy. Yet, despite this, the 22-year-old is clearly still commanding attention from clubs looking for potential. The upcoming transfer window presents Fadera with the opportunity to find a new environment where he can truly demonstrate his capabilities and prove his worth at the Serie A level, a stage he is clearly eager to compete on consistently.
