Fresh off securing promotion to Portugal`s top tier, FC Alverca is making moves to ensure they are competitive in the Primeira Liga. The Ribatejo-based club has officially confirmed the signing of two additional players as they build their squad for the 2025/26 season.
The new arrivals are left-back Ikker Julian and forward Felipe Lima. These acquisitions signal the club`s intent to reinforce key areas ahead of the step up in competition.
Ikker Julian, a 20-year-old with dual Belgian and Brazilian nationality, arrives at Alverca from Azuriz, a club operating in the second division of the Campeonato Paranaense in Brazil. His recruitment suggests a focus on adding promising young talent to the defensive unit.
Joining from Brazil`s esteemed footballing landscape is also striker Felipe Lima. A product of the highly regarded Flamengo youth academy, Lima is expected to strengthen Alverca`s attacking options. The young forward reportedly expressed his satisfaction with the transfer, describing it as a “unique opportunity” in a nation recognized for its “tactical and quality football.” One presumes he is optimistic about contributing to this national reputation.
Julian and Lima are the latest names to be added to Alverca`s roster for the upcoming season. They join previously announced signings including André Paulo, Steven Baseya, Tiago Leite, Gian Franco Cabezas, Isaac James, Cédric Nuozzi, and Junior Mendes. The flurry of activity in the transfer market indicates a proactive approach by the club as they prepare for the considerable challenge of competing in the Primeira Liga.
