Angelozzi Set for Cagliari Move, Frosinone Eyes Frara as Replacement

Football News

The future of Frosinone`s technical director, Guido Angelozzi, appears destined for Serie A. Cagliari`s president, Tommaso Giulini, has been actively pursuing him, aiming to entrust him with leading the club`s new project starting next season. A potential two-year contract with an option for a third year is reportedly being discussed, similar to the terms of his current agreement with Frosinone.

The experienced executive has reportedly received the green light from Frosinone owner Maurizio Stirpe to undertake this new challenge in Sardinia. This development comes despite Angelozzi having already commenced planning for Frosinone`s upcoming season, which included facilitating the arrival of Jacopo Gelli, exercising the option for Barcella, and initiating work on the potential sales of valued players such as Lusuardi and Vural.

In the event of Angelozzi`s departure, Frosinone is expected to look internally for a successor. The likely candidate for promotion is former captain Alessandro Frara, who has worked closely alongside Angelozzi in recent years and is now in a position to potentially take over his responsibilities. Should the current director leave, the option of bringing back Vincenzo Vivarini could also resurface. Vivarini is a coach who remains under contract with Frosinone for another year, having been dismissed earlier this season and replaced successively by Greco and Bianco.
