AS Roma defender Saud Abdulhamid, aged 25, is reportedly close to a loan transfer to Toulouse FC.
Abdulhamid spent his entire career in Saudi Arabia until joining Roma last summer. He arrived in Rome despite interest from Ligue 1 clubs like Reims and Toulouse. However, his playing time has been restricted in Italy, with only eight appearances across all competitions. Despite this, he made history as the first Saudi Arabian player to score in European competition, finding the net in a UEFA Europa League match against Braga.
Similar to last summer, a move to France is again being linked with Abdulhamid, and this time it`s expected to happen. He is anticipated to join Toulouse. This is the case even with RC Lens also showing interest in the Saudi international. With his preference for Toulouse confirmed, the loan deal is likely to be finalised shortly.
