Premier League side Aston Villa have reportedly initiated discussions with their Spanish counterparts, Real Betis, over a potential summer transfer for promising young winger Jesús Rodríguez.
According to widely respected transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa made contact with Real Betis this week to begin negotiations for the 19-year-old talent.
Rodríguez, born in 2005, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Spain, successfully establishing himself in the Real Betis first-team picture. He went on to make 21 appearances in La Liga during the recent season.
His impressive performances on the left flank did not go unnoticed, attracting interest from numerous clubs across the continent who view him as a player with significant attacking potential for the future.
