‘At Least’ – Fee Everton Must Pay To Land Attacking Target Emerges

Bundesliga News

According to recent reports, German Bundesliga side Stuttgart is seeking a transfer fee of `at least €40m` to allow forward Nick Woltemade, a player reportedly on the radar of both Everton and Roma, to depart during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Under their new ownership, Everton is preparing for a significant change, moving from their historic Goodison Park ground to the new Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of the next season.

The Friedkin Group is set to oversee their initial summer transfer window and is anticipated to provide backing for manager David Moyes, who guided the Toffees to a commendable finish last season.

Transfer activity has already commenced at the club, including making Charly Alcaraz`s loan move permanent. However, strengthening the forward line appears to be a top priority.

Speculation surrounds current strikers, with Beto attracting interest and Dominic Calvert-Lewin potentially moving on from the club.

Everton has been linked with numerous forwards throughout this transfer period, and 23-year-old Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart is a player they have reportedly been tracking closely.

However, Everton faces competition for the 23-year-old`s signature. Italian powerhouse Roma, also owned by the Friedkin Group, is reportedly keen on the player.

As confirmed by Italian journalist Maurizio Russo, Stuttgart`s valuation for the in-demand frontman stands at `at least €40m`.

The recently concluded season was a breakthrough for Woltemade at Stuttgart, where he impressed by scoring 17 goals and providing three assists across 33 appearances in all competitions.

His strong performances have also earned Woltemade his first senior call-up to the Germany national team for upcoming Nations League fixtures.

While the extent to which Everton and Roma might collaborate on identifying transfer targets under shared ownership remains unclear, it is evident that any club pursuing the 23-year-old will need to invest a considerable sum.

Stuttgart`s successful DFB-Pokal win this season guarantees them participation in the Europa League next term.

This gives Roma, who are also in the Europa League, an advantage as Everton currently cannot offer European football to Woltemade for the upcoming season.
