Audace Cerignola Appoints Enzo Maiuri as New Head Coach

Football News

Following the departure of Giuseppe Raffaele, who recently signed with Salernitana, Audace Cerignola has announced the name of their new head coach. The club from Puglia has opted for Enzo Maiuri, an experienced manager who guided Cavese from October last season, narrowly missing a playoff spot.

The club released an official statement regarding the appointment:

`S.S. Audace Cerignola S.r.l. announces it has entrusted the technical guidance of the first team to Enzo Maiuri. A two-year contract has been signed with the coach, set to expire on June 30, 2027.`

Maiuri, born in 1969, boasts an extensive coaching career, having previously managed clubs including Legnano, Matera, Fasano, Grottaglie, Nardò, Brindisi, Casertana, Taranto, Nocerina, Portici, Sorrento, and Cavese.

Notably, during the 2022/2023 season, he achieved direct promotion to Serie C while at the helm of Sorrento.

The decision to appoint Maiuri is rooted in the club`s desire to ensure continuity in their project, relying on a stable and prepared figure who possesses in-depth knowledge of the league category.

`We extend our best wishes for successful work to Mr. Maiuri.`
