Bayer Leverkusen have officially confirmed the transfer of goalkeeper Mark Flekken from Premier League club Brentford. The fee for the Dutch international remains undisclosed.
This move marks Flekken`s return to German football. He previously spent five seasons in the Bundesliga with SC Freiburg between 2018 and 2023, making 80 appearances for the club.
Flekken joined Brentford in July 2023 and quickly established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper, featuring in 77 matches across all competitions for the Bees.
Upon his arrival at Leverkusen, Flekken is expected to provide strong competition for the starting spot currently held by experienced Finnish goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky for the upcoming season.
