Bayer Leverkusen Linked With Move for Liverpool Forward Harvey Elliott

Bundesliga News

Bayer Leverkusen, a prominent club in the Bundesliga, is reportedly evaluating Liverpool attacker Harvey Elliott as a potential addition for the forthcoming summer transfer window.

Elliott began his youth career at Fulham and QPR before signing with Liverpool in 2019.

He was highly regarded during his teenage years and has since successfully integrated himself into the Liverpool senior squad.

Apart from a temporary move to Blackburn Rovers in 2020 on loan, Elliott has remained at Anfield and has accumulated close to 150 appearances for the Reds.

He previously suffered a significant foot injury that kept him out of action for a considerable time, yet he continues to be held in high esteem by the club.

The 21-year-old has registered only two Premier League starts this season and would likely wish to significantly increase this number should he stay at Liverpool for the next campaign.

Given the lack of consistent starting opportunities at Liverpool, Elliott has been linked with a potential move away from the club.

He could potentially find an opportunity in the Bundesliga, as Bayer Leverkusen has reportedly included Elliott on their shortlist of targets.

Bayer Leverkusen, known as `Die Werkself`, is undergoing changes, including the recent departure of manager Xabi Alonso and anticipated squad adjustments, with defender Jonathan Tah moving on and speculation surrounding the future of attacker Florian Wirtz.

It remains to be seen whether Elliott would be attracted by the prospect of playing in Germany, and equally, whether Liverpool would be willing to sell him.

Liverpool will aim to compete for silverware on multiple fronts again next season under new manager Arne Slot, who will require a strong and deep squad to call upon.
