According to estimates published by Sport Bild, Bayern Munich`s head coach, Vincent Kompany, leads the list of the highest-paid managers in the Bundesliga, which comes as no surprise.
Kompany is reported to be the top earner in the league, commanding an annual salary in the range of €7-8 million. Following him closely is the new Bayer Leverkusen head coach, Erik ten Hag, who ranks second with an estimated yearly income of around €5.5 million.
Borussia Dortmund`s Niko Kovac is listed as the third-highest earner at €4 million per year. The fourth position is occupied by Sebastian Hoeneß of Stuttgart, who earns €3.5 million annually. Hoeneß recently guided Stuttgart to a DFB Pokal victory this season and extended his contract back in March.
Rounding out the top five is Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach Gerardo Seoane, earning €3.2 million. This figure is noted as potentially surprising, considering Gladbach finished 14th and 10th during his time at Borussia Park. It is suggested that Seoane’s substantial salary might be a contributing factor in the club`s decision not to dismiss him yet.
Looking at other estimated salaries among Bundesliga coaches, Ole Werner at RB Leipzig is mentioned with €2.5 million. He is followed by Sandro Wagner (Augsburg, €1.6m), Paul Simonis (Wolfsburg, €1.5m), Lukas Kwasniok (1.FC Köln, €1.2m), and Horst Steffen (Werder Bremen, €1.1m).
Notably, Sandro Wagner, who recently stepped down as Germany`s assistant head coach, is expected to earn three times his previous salary with the DFB now at Augsburg.
