German side Borussia Dortmund is reportedly considering a move for Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United is actively seeking to offload the 25-year-old during the summer transfer window in an effort to generate funds for new signings.
This development comes after Chelsea recently decided against signing the winger permanently following his loan spell.
Sancho`s season-long loan at Stamford Bridge was largely unimpressive, where he managed to score just three goals across 31 league appearances.
Chelsea reportedly paid a £5 million penalty fee to United after failing to agree on personal terms for a permanent transfer, resulting in his return to Old Trafford.
According to reports, Dortmund has requested to be kept informed about the future of their former player.
Sancho previously played for “Die Schwarzgelben” between 2017 and 2021, establishing himself as a key player and scoring 50 goals in 137 matches.
His standout performances in the Bundesliga led to a significant £73 million transfer to Manchester United. However, he struggled to replicate that success in England, finding the net only 12 times in 83 games.
Following a notable dispute with then-manager Erik ten Hag, Sancho returned to Dortmund on loan for the latter half of the 2023-24 season.
During his second stint at the club, he played an important role in their unexpected journey to the Champions League final, starting seven matches in the competition.
A continued stay at Manchester United appears unlikely for Sancho, partly due to controversial comments made on social media that reportedly damaged his relationship with some of the club`s fanbase.
