Two prominent French players from the German Bundesliga have been withdrawn from their squad for the upcoming U21 European Championship.
The French Football Federation confirmed on Monday that forward Hugo Ekitiké of Eintracht Frankfurt will not participate in the tournament due to ongoing back issues.
Additionally, VfB Stuttgart midfielder Enzo Millot is also set to miss the competition, having pulled out for personal family reasons.
For Millot, this withdrawal potentially marks his final appearance for Stuttgart. The 22-year-old player is reportedly attracting significant interest for a summer transfer and is understood to have a release clause valued between €18 million and €20 million.
