Burnley Reportedly Agree €18m Deal for Andy Diouf

Burnley, recently promoted to the Premier League, have reportedly reached an agreement *in principle* with French club Racing Club de Lens regarding the transfer of 22-year-old France U21 midfielder Andy Diouf. Diouf initially moved to Lens two years ago, following a impressive season with FC Basel where he was recognized as the best young player in the Conference League.

Over his two seasons playing at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, Diouf made 67 appearances for `Les Sang et Or` (the Blood and Gold), contributing two goals and two assists. Lens are expected to make a significant profit on the midfielder, having originally paid €14 million for the former Stade Rennais academy product. Reports indicate that the agreement between Burnley and Lens values the player at €18 million.

However, the proposed transfer is not yet complete, as Diouf himself has not yet given his personal approval to the move. The 22-year-old midfielder is also understood to be in discussions with another Premier League side, Crystal Palace.
