Club ‘Looking To Rival Leeds United’ For Title Winning Midfielder

Football News

Premier League club Brentford is reportedly challenging Leeds United for the signature of Union SG midfielder Noah Sadiki.

Leeds, preparing for their return to the Premier League, have already strengthened their squad with signings like Jaka Bijol and Lukas Nmecha, and expect to bring in several more new faces.

They hold interest in the 20-year-old Sadiki from Union SG, a player who has shown significant progress in his development.

However, Leeds now faces competition from Brentford for the DR Congo international`s services. German club Eintracht Frankfurt had also previously been linked with the player.

According to reports from Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Brentford is now actively competing with Leeds United for Sadiki.

The Bees are specifically targeting a defensive midfielder and believe the Union SG player could be a suitable addition to their squad.

Sadiki was a key figure in Union SG`s Belgian league title success last season, making an impressive 55 appearances across all competitions.

His extensive involvement included participating in Champions League qualifiers at the beginning of the season, followed by appearances in the Europa League. He played in both of Union SG`s knockout matches against Ajax in the Europa League.

Reports suggest that both Leeds and Eintracht Frankfurt are currently engaged in discussions to agree terms with Sadiki`s representatives in an effort to advance a potential transfer.

For Sadiki, a move to Brentford could be an appealing prospect, given the Bees` established position as a stable Premier League side.

In contrast, Leeds, as a newly promoted team, might find it more challenging to convince the midfielder to join them at Elland Road.

The potential difficulties for promoted clubs are underlined by the fact that all three teams promoted to the Premier League in the season prior were subsequently relegated last term.

Conversely, Eintracht Frankfurt finished third in Germany`s Bundesliga and will participate in the group stage of next season`s Champions League, offering a different level of competition.
