Cremonese in Serie A: Fulignati and Vandeputte Permanent, Gelli’s Future Under Review

Football News

Cremonese is currently celebrating its well-deserved promotion back to Serie A, but the club is simultaneously looking ahead and preparing for the upcoming challenge in Italy`s top football division. The focus is already on building a competitive squad and avoiding being caught unprepared.

There are several players currently on loan at Cremonese whose future at the club needs to be decided. However, this is not the case for the two players acquired from Catanzaro last summer. Both goalkeeper Andrea Fulignati and attacking midfielder Jari Vandeputte joined the Grigiorossi on loan deals that included a mandatory purchase clause triggered by specific conditions. For both players, these conditions were met some time ago, well before the victorious final match that secured promotion.

The situation is different for midfielder Francesco Gelli. His potential future at Cremonese is yet to be determined. The club holds a `simple` option to buy the player, born in 1996. A decision on whether to exercise this purchase right will be made in the coming days.
