Speaking at the celebration for Perugia`s 120th anniversary, Angelo Di Livio commented on the Umbrian club: “I hope to see this stadium return to the highest levels; it`s important and has wonderful fans. We need to push hard, but I greatly respect sporting director Meluso and know he is already working to bring this club back up.”
What about the National Team`s situation?
“Ridiculous. Not just on the field, because losing 3-0 to Norway is humiliating, but especially regarding what happened with Spalletti: sacked and then back on the bench. That doesn`t seem like something befitting the National Team.”
Do you like Ranieri?
“He`s a guarantee for everything. I`d be happy, but it`s up to him: he`s already made a choice, a heartfelt one too. He wants to be relaxed after so many years of great work.”
But he would accept a dual role.
“If he feels up to it, absolutely.”
Which managerial move in Serie A do you like the most?
“Gasperini is my favorite; he`s a guarantee and wants to challenge himself in an important place. Chivu at Inter surprised me: he did well at Parma, but I didn`t expect this double step. Good luck to him.”
Would Pioli at Fiorentina convince you?
“Stefano is a great professional. I am very attached to Florence, and it`s a place that deserves respect, to try and dream of something occasionally.”
What should Pradè do with key players?
“Kean should be grateful to Fiorentina; he had his best season there. It`s clear that if a significant offer arrives, they will evaluate it. But it`s hard to find a better place than Florence.”
