Despite Real Madrid’s challenging second half of the season, 19-year-old Endrick Felipe has thrived since his loan move to Olympique Lyon in the winter transfer window. In 19 appearances across all competitions, he has impressively scored eight goals and provided seven assists, contributing significantly to Lyon’s pursuit of a Champions League spot, as evidenced by their recent 4-2 victory over Rennes.
Following the match, Endrick shared his feelings with the media, expressing his contentment at Lyon and an openness to extending his stay. “My future? I feel very good, I feel very happy here. I’m happy with my teammates, and for the rest, I leave it to God. If I have to go back to Real Madrid, I’ll go back to Real Madrid; if I have to extend my contract here, it will happen, we’ll see. I’d like to stay here; everyone is doing their best to make me feel comfortable,” he stated.
Real Madrid had strategically sent Endrick to Lyon to revitalize his development, which had slowed since his move from Palmeiras in 2024. His success in France has pleased the club’s hierarchy, validating their decision to loan him out temporarily. For the upcoming season, Real Madrid has confirmed Endrick will be integrated into their first-team plans. His outstanding performances at Lyon are expected to bolster his prospects of becoming a regular starter for Los Blancos when the 2026-27 campaign commences in August.
