Renowned insider Fabrizio Romano reports that football club Atletico Madrid has reached an agreement with Villarreal for the transfer of midfielder Alex Baena.
The deal for the 23-year-old Spaniard is valued at 45 million euros, with the potential addition of 5 million euros in bonuses.
In the previous season, Baena participated in 33 matches across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing ten assists. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the player`s current market value is estimated at 55 million euros.
