FC Köln has officially announced Lukas Kwasniok as their new head coach.
The German tactician has signed a contract with the Bundesliga club that runs for three seasons. Prior to joining Köln, Kwasniok managed SC Paderborn for four years.
“This is an incredible club and a fantastic opportunity,” commented Kwasniok on his appointment. “It will undoubtedly be a wonderful feeling to lead Cologne in the Bundesliga for the very first time.”
Kwasniok`s playing career was cut short by a serious injury, but he successfully transitioned into coaching. He is known for developing teams with an attractive, attacking style of play, having previously coached at clubs including Karlsruher, Saarbrücken, Jena, and most recently, SC Paderborn.
