Among all potential targets, Julian Alvarez has been most frequently linked to Barcelona. However, given Barcelona's set budget, a deal for the Argentine striker seems highly improbable. Atletico Madrid, who are reportedly not keen on selling to Barcelona, would only consider a transfer that at least doubles the fee Manchester City paid for him. Considering Alvarez was acquired by City for €75 million plus €15 million in variables, this would place his value well beyond Barcelona's financial reach. The only realistic path for Barcelona to secure Alvarez would be if the international actively pushed for a move specifically to Camp Nou. Even if his recent non-committal comments about his future were "celebrated" internally at Barcelona, the likelihood of a transfer remains low.
