The Belgian international will turn 34 in May and has experienced an increasing number of injuries since 2023. While Courtois remains the clear first-choice and still possesses top-level ability, his advancing age and injury history naturally lead to discussions about the future.

Currently, there has been little public talk about Real Madrid actively searching for a successor, suggesting that the club views Courtois as their primary goalkeeper for several more years.
