Promising River Plate midfielder Franco Mastantuono is set to join Real Madrid after the upcoming Club World Cup tournament.
Sources indicate that the 17-year-old Argentine has already successfully completed his medical examination and put pen to paper on a long-term contract that will keep him at the Spanish club until 2031. Real Madrid reportedly triggered the player`s release clause, valued at a significant 45 million euros, to secure his services.
Mastantuono is expected to remain with River Plate to participate in the Club World Cup before making his move to the Spanish capital.
Football statistics portal Transfermarkt currently estimates the player`s market value at 30 million euros.
During his time with River Plate, Mastantuono has made 61 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 7 assists. In the current season alone, the young midfielder has been impressive, netting 7 goals and contributing 4 assists in 19 matches.
