Italian defender Gabriele Corbo`s brief spell at Cordoba has concluded after just over four months. The Spanish club has confirmed that Corbo will be released when his contract expires at the end of the current season, making him available as a free agent to seek a new club.
Cordoba CF released an official statement addressing the player`s departure: “Córdoba CF announces that Gabriele Corbo will no longer be part of the squad after the expiration of his contract with the club, scheduled for June 30th. The Italian defender joined during the most recent winter transfer window, and his professionalism and dedication were valuable assets, adding strength and character to our team during a vital period of the season. We wish him the very best of luck in his future endeavors.”
Corbo, aged 25, progressed through the youth ranks at Spezia before debuting for their senior team. His career has included stints at Bologna (four appearances), Ascoli (15), and Montreal Impact (84), prior to his short tenure at Cordoba where he featured in only three matches.
