Garnacho wants Premier League transfer as Man United exit looms

Football News

Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly seeking a move to another Premier League club during the upcoming summer transfer window, as his departure from Manchester United appears likely.

He has reportedly been told he isn`t part of Ruben Amorim`s plans for the next campaign and is now evaluating potential destinations.

Napoli showed interest in the Argentine player back in January. Bayer Leverkusen is also considered a possibility, especially after former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag took charge there.

Nevertheless, despite interest from clubs like Leverkusen, Garnacho`s preference is to stay in England.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the 20-year-old is eager to look into opportunities within England and remain in the top flight.

Chelsea enquired about Garnacho during the January window and are still searching for a left-sided attacker. The West London club opted not to make Jadon Sancho`s loan from Manchester United permanent, and Mykhailo Mudryk is currently facing a provisional suspension. Aston Villa and Arsenal have also reportedly shown some initial interest.

Last season, Garnacho scored 11 goals and provided nine assists across all competitions for Manchester United.

Manchester United reportedly values the player at approximately £50 million. His potential sale is intended to generate funds for the club`s squad overhaul. Since Garnacho came through the academy, selling him would be recorded as pure profit under Premier League Profit and Sustainability rules.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have already strengthened their attack by signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are in ongoing discussions with Brentford regarding a move for Bryan Mbeumo. United have also reportedly contacted Eintracht Frankfurt to inquire about the price of forward Hugo Ekitike.
