Interest High for Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani

Bundesliga News

Six Bundesliga clubs are reportedly showing interest in signing Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani, according to reports from Bild.

Asllani is currently on loan at second-division club Elversberg, who have recently secured a place in the promotion playoffs with the aim of reaching the Bundesliga.

The 22-year-old forward has been a vital player for Elversberg this season, making a significant contribution with 18 goals and nine assists.

Among the Bundesliga teams linked with the player are Borussia Monchengladbach, Werder Bremen, Freiburg, and Stuttgart. Furthermore, during the winter transfer window, Union Berlin and Cologne reportedly contacted Hoffenheim to inquire about his future.

Interest in Asllani is not limited to Germany, with clubs across Europe such as Lille, Sporting Lisbon, Fenerbahçe, and Anderlecht also said to be monitoring his situation.

Despite the considerable interest from numerous clubs, Hoffenheim manager Andreas Schicker has expressed his clear intention to keep Asllani at the club for the long term.

“The fact is that Fisnik is our player. If he returns now in the summer, he will have a contract until June 2026. Of course, we have already had talks. We will try to extend with him.”

In related news, Elversberg is set to participate in the first leg of their promotion playoff tie against Heidenheim on Thursday evening, with the return leg scheduled for Monday.
