Several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United, Manchester City, and Arsenal, who had shown interest in signing Espanyol goalkeeper Joan García this summer, have reportedly been informed that the player has decided to move elsewhere.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old goalkeeper, who has attracted widespread attention after a brilliant individual season for Espanyol, has chosen to sign for Barcelona.
Romano reports that Premier League clubs are now aware of Joan García`s final decision to play for Barcelona. The transfer is expected to be completed next week, with his €25 million release clause set to be paid.
