Lazio Puts Loum Tchaouna on Transfer List; PSV Explores Player Exchange

Football News

Loum Tchaouna is reportedly preparing for a new chapter in his career as Lazio aims to move the forward on following a season that fell short of expectations. The upcoming U21 European Championship could serve as a vital showcase for the young Frenchman, potentially helping him regain confidence and attract interest from clubs looking to bolster their squads during the summer transfer window.

The Rome-based club has placed Tchaouna on the transfer market after his struggles to make an impact in his debut season since arriving from Salernitana last summer for approximately €8 million. While showing flashes of potential and demonstrating good work rate, his overall contribution was deemed insufficient. Listing him for sale is seen as a way for Lazio to generate funds and reduce squad numbers as they plan technical restructuring.

PSV Eindhoven, who previously had an €11 million offer for Tchaouna rejected by Lazio in January, might reignite their interest. This time, the Dutch side is considering alternative deal structures beyond a simple cash purchase, potentially proposing a player exchange to reduce the cash component of the transfer fee.

Reports suggest that potential players PSV could include in negotiations are midfielder Guus Til, who has been on the radar of Italian clubs in the past, and young defender Ryan Flamingo, an emerging talent from the Dutch club`s system. However, as of now, Lazio is said to have not indicated any willingness to accept players as part of the transaction.
