Portuguese forward Fabio Silva is currently attracting significant interest from clubs in the German Bundesliga. According to recent reports out of Germany, specifically from BILD, the 22-year-old recently turned down an offer to join Wolfsburg.
Sources close to the situation suggest that Silva is actively seeking a permanent move away from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer. A key factor in his decision-making process is a strong preference to join a club that will be participating in European club competitions during the upcoming season.
Silva initially made the switch to Wolves in the summer of 2020. However, his time with the West Midlands side has largely not gone according to the initial plan or expectations.
Despite being widely regarded as a talented individual, Silva struggled to establish himself as the primary central striker for Wolves under a succession of managers, including Nuno Espirito Santo, Bruno Lage, and Gary O`Neil. Consequently, he spent periods away from the club on loan, which included a spell at PSV Eindhoven and, most recently, last season with Spanish La Liga side Las Palmas.
During his loan stint at Las Palmas, Silva enjoyed a more productive period on the pitch. He managed to score 10 goals and provide 3 assists for the Canary Islands club throughout the season.
