According to a recent report by journalist Rudy Galetti, Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Castello Lukeba, a promising talent from RB Leipzig. Arne Slot is said to be a significant admirer of the young French centre-back, with the Reds potentially pursuing a transfer this summer.
Lukeba`s Performance in the Bundesliga Last Season
Lukeba had a commendable season at the German club, delivering consistently strong performances at the heart of their defence. The French player featured in 31 matches across all competitions for RB Leipzig during the past season.
The 22-year-old proved a solid presence in Leipzig`s defence, recording 31 tackles, 29 blocks, and 17 interceptions in the Bundesliga. His distribution from deep was also clean, as shown by his 85.1% pass completion rate in the league (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract with the German club runs until the summer of 2029, which might complicate Liverpool`s efforts to secure his signing for a low fee this off-season.

How Could Lukeba Improve Arne Slot`s Liverpool Squad?
