Olympique de Marseille has confirmed it will host two significant pre-season matches at the Orange Vélodrome this August. These games, against Sevilla FC and Aston Villa FC, are part of their build-up for the 2025/26 season. The Phocéens, preparing for their return to the UEFA Champions League in 2025-2026, are set to play two European-level opponents before starting their Ligue 1 campaign away at Stade Rennais.
The first fixture is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd, at 20:00 CET against Sevilla, renowned as record seven-time UEFA Europa League winners. A week later, at 19:00 CET, OM will host Premier League club Aston Villa. Facing an English opponent is considered a probable dress rehearsal for the Champions League group stage, where Roberto De Zerbi`s squad will very likely encounter at least one Premier League team.
Prior to these home games, Marseille will also travel to Andorra to play Girona and face another La Liga club, Valencia, as part of their earlier summer preparations.
