Massimo Orlando: Juventus Can Win Scudetto with Osimhen and Another Signing

Football News

Former footballer Massimo Orlando was a guest on TMW Radio`s *Maracanà* show.

On Como`s Transfer Strategy:

Orlando praised Como`s approach in the transfer market, focusing on signing talented young players, a strategy already evident last year. He spoke highly of the president, describing him as well-prepared and deeply connected to the club`s location. Orlando predicted that Como could become one of the most attractive teams in the coming years, potentially achieving success faster than Atalanta did. He cited Cesc Fabregas choosing Como over Inter as proof of the club`s potential to build something significant in a calm environment. Orlando believes Como is justified in aiming for a league position between fourth and sixth.

On Inter`s Midfield Situation (Calhanoglu vs. Ederson):

Discussing the possibility of Hakan Calhanoglu leaving Inter and Ederson being a target, Orlando noted that they are different types of players. He acknowledged Calhanoglu`s improvement over the years, particularly in his defensive contributions off the ball. Ederson, while strong in pressing, doesn`t possess Calhanoglu`s quality in vertical passing, according to Orlando. Despite this, he concluded that Ederson would still be a very good signing for Inter.

On Juventus`s Attack (David, Osimhen, Vlahovic, Kolo Muani):

Turning to Juventus, Orlando described the potential pairing of Jonathan David and Victor Osimhen as “a big deal.” He argued that Juventus should sacrifice Dusan Vlahovic and Randal Kolo Muani to focus on acquiring Osimhen. Orlando believes Vlahovic`s relationship with the club has deteriorated to the point where accepting a departure settlement is his only option. Regarding Kolo Muani, he suspects Juventus has realised the investment isn`t worthwhile. With Osimhen, Orlando stated the attack would become “explosive.” He added that with another one or two quality midfield signings, Juventus could seriously contend for the Scudetto.

On Milan and What Allegri Needs:

When asked what Massimiliano Allegri needs to do to lift Milan, Orlando mentioned discipline but then pointed out that Milan had essentially undone the good work done under Stefano Pioli two years prior, describing it as “throwing away a toy that worked very well.”
