Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham ‘for sure’ will avoid relegation

Football News

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has once again distanced himself from speculation linking him with a return to his old club. While emphatically stating he hasn’t been contacted regarding the role, Pochettino expressed strong confidence that his former team will undoubtedly avoid relegation, despite experiencing a challenging season.

Pochettino, who steered Spurs to some of their greatest successes in the modern era between 2014 and 2019, is frequently mentioned whenever the managerial position at the North London club becomes a topic of discussion. Nevertheless, his current commitment as the head coach of the US men’s national team means he is unavailable to take charge this season, a period during which Tottenham has conspicuously struggled. Pochettino will only be available for a new coaching position after this summer, as his contract with US Soccer is scheduled to expire in August.
