Novara is actively searching for a new head coach for the upcoming season. After numerous days of intense negotiations, the Piedmontese club has yet to settle on a technical leader. According to reports, a three-way race is underway involving Andrea Chiappella, Luca Tabbiani, and Antonio Buscè.
Andrea Chiappella is the first name that gained prominence in internal discussions. He is a profile the club`s management has been monitoring and became officially available for talks only after Giana Erminio was eliminated from the Serie C playoffs. The coach from Lombardy, who had a surprising season, seemed close to an agreement until the middle of last week. However, interest from Serie B clubs has reportedly cooled down negotiations.
Alternative options remain under consideration. Luca Tabbiani is currently under contract with Trento until 2026 and has been officially confirmed by their new sporting director, Moreno Zocchi. Despite this, his position remains uncertain; Novara has maintained contact, recognizing that the coach`s personal desire could be a decisive factor.
Though currently a less central figure, Antonio Buscè is still a candidate and represents the most “free” option. Following his time at Rimini, which included winning the Coppa Italia Serie C, the coach from Campania has officially departed the Romagna club and is free to join another team without contractual constraints.
While the club awaits a final decision on the next coach`s profile, the possibility of a surprise candidate emerging is not ruled out should the current negotiations fail to progress within the anticipated timeframe. The coaching puzzle is still open, but the indication is that Novara aims to resolve the situation this week.
