Leo Skiri Ostigard might be on his way back to Serie A after spending just one season away from Italy. Reports indicate that Pisa is exploring the possibility of signing the Norwegian defender, who previously played for Genoa and Napoli. According to information gathered by TMW, Pisa has begun sounding out the ground regarding a potential transfer.
The 25-year-old defender moved from Napoli to Rennes last summer for a fee of €7 million and managed to find reasonable playing time in France. However, after only six months, another transfer followed in January, this time a loan move to Hoffenheim, where he completed the recently concluded season.
During his spell in the Bundesliga, the centre-back featured in 11 matches. Like his 16 appearances in Ligue 1, he did not register a goal. Now, the door is open for a potential return to Italy for Ostigard, possibly under the guidance of Alberto Gilardino.
