Pescara President Sebastiani on Transfers: “We really like De Boer. Rafia is the dream. Plizzari…”

Football News

Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani gave a lengthy interview to Il Centro, where, among other topics, he discussed the club`s transfer market strategy.

Regarding players with expiring contracts, Sebastiani said: “For Moruzzi, Juventus has a buy-back option. If they exercise it, there`s nothing we can do. If they don`t, we will extend his contract; we don`t want players to leave on expired deals. Merola? We need to discuss this with the coach, which we`ll do this week. We don`t have many active negotiations, except for one: we really like De Boer. We need to follow up with his agent, but we won`t get into bidding wars or compete strongly for him.”

When asked about the dream signing for the market: “Rafia. He did very well for us previously, and I`d like to bring him back to Pescara. We need to see if Lecce makes him available.”

Concerning the goalkeeper situation: “Plizzari? Currently, there`s no room for a move because Venezia has explicitly stated they plan to rely on their goalkeeper.”

On the possibility of collaboration with Pineto: “If they need our players, why not…”

Regarding the announcement of Sports Director Foggia`s contract renewal: “It`s essentially already announced. We`ll formalize it in the coming days. His position has never been in question.”

Asked about contact with Marco Verratti: “I talk to him often. We agreed on the choice of Vivarini as coach. Marco and the coach have spoken, but haven`t discussed players so far.”
