Real Betis Considering Premier League Loan Deals

Football News

Manuel Pellegrini is preparing Real Betis for a busy transfer window, with plans for several signings in the near future.

Although they were defeated by Chelsea in the UEFA Conference League final, Pellegrini`s team still qualified for European competition in 2025/26 through their La Liga finish.

The club from Andalusia finished fifth in La Liga and will participate in the Europa League next season.

Pellegrini has already finalized the permanent signing of Natan from Napoli, and discussions are continuing with Manchester United regarding Antony.

Update on Antony`s Potential Move

Antony made a positive impression during his six-month loan spell at Estadio Benito Villamarin in the latter part of the 2024/25 season, and Pellegrini is keen to re-sign him.

However, talks are still ongoing and no agreement has been reached yet, even though Ruben Amorim is reportedly eager to move him on.

The club`s sporting director, Manu Fajardo, provided an update on the situation during the introduction of their new goalkeeper signing, Alvaro Valles.

“We all have to be aware that Antony is a very complex operation because of the level of the player, and also due to his recent time at Real Betis,” said Fajardo. “It is not easy, but as long as he has not committed to another club, we will continue our efforts to try to sign him.”

Second Premier League Brazilian Targeted

According to reports, Antony isn`t the only Brazilian international from the Premier League that Real Betis is considering; Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo is also on Pellegrini`s list.

Danilo found it difficult to regain his place in the Forest team last season after a long injury absence, and manager Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly open to selling him.

Lyon were reportedly nearing a £20 million agreement for the 24-year-old, but because of their financial difficulties, Pellegrini might be able to make a late bid.
