Ceballos has already begun contemplating his next career move, and according to Marca’s report, he has a clear preference for his next club: Real Betis. He dreams of returning to his boyhood team, a move he has come close to making on several occasions in recent years.
However, a return to Betis won’t be straightforward. The Andalusian club is unlikely to have significant financial flexibility for such a transfer, and much will depend on whether Real Madrid’s terms are deemed acceptable by sporting director Manu Fajardo and his team.
For now, Ceballos’s immediate focus is on recovering and returning to action with Real Madrid. He hopes to conclude his spell at the Bernabéu on a positive note before his summer departure, at which point his next destination will become much clearer. While Betis will certainly be a strong contender, they won’t be the only club interested, as teams in both La Liga and the Premier League are also monitoring his situation.
