Sunderland Pursues Roma Left-Back Angelino

Football News

Serie A club Roma may look to sell left-back Angelino for a profit during the current summer transfer window. There is growing interest in the player from clubs in the English Premier League.

Earlier reports from Il Messaggero indicated that Premier League sides Bournemouth and Crystal Palace had contacted Roma to inquire about the Spaniard`s availability. However, they were reportedly unwilling to pay a transfer fee exceeding €12 million.

It was understood that Angelino was considered a prime candidate to leave the Italian club, although the departure of other players could allow him to stay.

Now, Championship club Sunderland has emerged as a potential suitor. According to SportItalia`s Gianluigi Longari, the Black Cats are searching for a left-back, and Angelino is among the players they are considering. It remains uncertain whether Sunderland will make a formal approach.

Defender Evan Ndicka is also viewed as a player who could depart Roma, with increasing interest from Premier League clubs.
