The travel saga surrounding FURIA`s CS2 sniper, Danil “molodoy” Golubev, appears to be nearing a positive conclusion. Concerns about his ability to reach Belgrade in time for the FISSURE Playground #1 tournament have been addressed, with the player now confirmed to be on track for arrival before his team`s first match.
According to FURIA`s Chief Executive Officer, Andre Akkari, molodoy is scheduled to arrive in the Serbian capital on July 14th. This confirmation provides welcome clarity, especially considering FURIA`s initial match in the tournament is set for July 15th against SAW. The timeline allows molodoy a day to settle in before competition begins.
The FISSURE Playground #1 tournament is scheduled to take place from July 15th to July 20th, 2025. Hosted as a LAN event in Belgrade, Serbia, the competition will culminate in playoff matches held at The Blue Hall, which will be open to live spectators. Ensuring the roster is complete is a key factor for teams preparing for such events.
Prior to this confirmation, molodoy had publicly shared difficulties he was experiencing with international travel. Posts on social media indicated that he was unable to depart Kazakhstan due to recurring flight cancellations. These issues also led to him missing the planned media day activities ahead of the tournament, adding to the uncertainty surrounding his participation.
With the CEO`s statement, it seems the travel hurdles have been overcome. This allows FURIA to proceed with their intended lineup for FISSURE Playground #1, focusing solely on their in-game preparation rather than logistical challenges – a common, and often frustrating, subplot in the global world of esports.
