FC Bayern Munich Honorary President Uli Hoeneß recently shared his views on the possibility of veteran forward Thomas Müller transferring to MLS club LA Galaxy. Speaking in a recent interview, Hoeneß revealed he had already conveyed his opinion directly to Müller.
Hoeneß stated that, in his personal view, the most beneficial step for Müller at this stage would be to conclude his playing career entirely. However, he added that if Müller is genuinely determined to continue playing elsewhere, then he should feel free to proceed with his plans.
Hoeneß openly admitted that he does not follow the American league very closely. While acknowledging that MLS has seen improvements thanks to the arrival of high-profile players from Europe, he maintained that making a move from a club of Bayern Munich`s international standing to Los Angeles represents a significant drop in competitive level and prestige. “It`s not the same grade,” Hoeneß remarked, underscoring the difference as he sees it.
