Negotiations between FC Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart regarding forward Nick Woltemade are reportedly intensifying. Despite recent statements from VfB Sporting Director Fabian Wohlgemuth indicating the club is `firmly planning` with Woltemade and sees `no alternative scenario,` it appears the young player might not be completely off-limits for a transfer.
However, according to reports from the German magazine kicker, VfB Stuttgart has indicated a potential asking price at which they would be willing to discuss a transfer.
That price is said to be a staggering €100 million. Such a transfer fee would represent an unprecedented figure within the Bundesliga.
For perspective, Transfermarkt values Woltemade at €30 million. The current record for a transfer within the Bundesliga stands at €43 million, which VfL Wolfsburg paid for Julian Draxler from Schalke 04 in 2015.
Should Bayern Munich even consider approaching Stuttgart`s valuation, the existing Bundesliga transfer record would not just be surpassed, but completely obliterated.
