Wolves Expected to Miss Out on Midfielder Caspar Jander as Stuttgart Move Nears

Bundesliga News

Wolverhampton Wanderers appear set to miss out on signing midfielder Caspar Jander from 1.FC Nurnberg this summer. Reports indicate the 22-year-old German international has reached a verbal agreement to join Bundesliga club Stuttgart.

Wolves are currently undertaking a squad rebuild under manager Gary O`Neil, with several players, including Rayan Ait Nouri and Matheus Cunha, having reportedly departed, and Nelson Semedo potentially following suit. The Molineux side is actively seeking midfield reinforcements as they look to strengthen for the upcoming season.

Nurnberg`s Caspar Jander had been linked with a move to the English club. However, according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Germany Under-21 international has verbally agreed terms with Stuttgart.

This agreement was reportedly facilitated by discussions involving Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoenes and sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth. Following this development, Stuttgart have now formally confirmed their intention to sign the midfielder to Nurnberg and have initiated transfer negotiations.

With Jander seemingly favouring a transfer to the German top-flight, it appears Wolves will need to shift their focus to alternative targets in their search for midfield additions this summer. However, they may still monitor Jander`s progress for potential future opportunities.
