The new agreement between Barcelona and Flick is expected to include an option to further extend the 61-year-old’s managerial period by another 12 months, up to 2029. This extension would be contingent on the mutual agreement of both parties, meaning there is a possibility for the German head coach to depart after two more years.
Extending Flick’s stay is considered a clear decision for Barcelona, given the success he has facilitated since his arrival in 2024.
