Real Madrid Launches Disciplinary Action Following Training Ground Fight

Real Madrid has confirmed that Aurelien Tchouaméni and Fede Valverde will face an investigation by the club’s disciplinary committee. This comes after widespread reports detailing a physical confrontation between the two players during a training session. Following the incident, Valverde was taken to the hospital for treatment of a head laceration requiring stitches.

Reports suggest that Tchouaméni punched Valverde after the Uruguayan player accused him of leaking a story to the press about a previous disagreement between them. The altercation, which took place in the dressing room, reportedly caused Valverde to fall and hit his head on a table. Experiencing dizziness, he was subsequently transported to the hospital in a wheelchair.

Disciplinary Process Underway for Tchouaméni and Valverde

While Real Madrid has not yet imposed any sanctions on either player, it is anticipated that neither will participate in the upcoming El Clásico match against Barcelona on Sunday.

Real Madrid C.F. announces that, following the incidents that occurred this morning during the first team’s training session, it has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against our players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni.

The club will provide updates on the resolutions of both proceedings once the corresponding internal procedures have been completed.

Valverde’s Condition Raises Concerns of Concussion

Following the fight, doctors have recommended rest for Valverde due to signs of dizziness and a diagnosis of head trauma. Despite the incident, Valverde did return to the Valdebebas training ground to attend an emergency team meeting convened by General Manager Jose Angel Sanchez.

Potential Sanctions Loom

According to Cadena Cope, if the incident is deemed a serious violation of the club’s code of conduct, the players could face suspensions ranging from 3 to 10 games, along with salary deductions. In the event of a very serious classification, the punishment could escalate to 11-20 games, with Real Madrid potentially holding grounds for dismissal.
