This result, combined with Almeria’s loss to Sporting Gijon, ensured Depor’s comeback to La Liga after an eight-year absence. This means that iconic clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid will once again visit Riazor. Final Promoted Side to Be Decided by Play-offs
In the upcoming weeks, the identity of the 20th and final team to participate in La Liga next season will be determined. The play-offs will serve as the decisive stage. However, with just one matchday remaining, no team has yet definitively secured a play-off spot, as six clubs—Almeria, Malaga, Las Palmas, Castellon, Burgos, and Eibar—are all competing for the four available positions.
As is typical, the conclusion of the Segunda season promises to be dramatic and exciting. For Depor, however, they can now afford to relax, to some extent.
