VIDEO: Joao Cancelo Restores Barcelona’s Two-Goal Lead

Football

Barcelona has re-established a comfortable lead in their final home game of the 2025-26 season, currently up 3-1 against Real Betis at the Spotify Camp Nou.

It has been a strong performance in Catalonia for Hansi Flick’s team. Several changes were made from their midweek loss to Alaves, and one of the players introduced, Raphinha, proved to be decisive in the first 62 minutes. He opened the scoring in the first half and then doubled his and Barcelona’s tally shortly after the hour mark. However, Betis managed to pull one back soon after through an Isco penalty.

Cancelo Re-establishes Barcelona’s Breathing Room

Shortly after Isco’s penalty, Barcelona has succeeded in regaining their two-goal advantage. Ronald Araujo did well to win possession back on the right wing. After receiving a pass from Pedri, Joao Cancelo surged forward and expertly curled the ball into the net from just outside the penalty area.

Barcelona is now just 15 minutes away from becoming the first La Liga team in history to win every single one of their home matches in a season. This achievement would be a fitting reward for the Catalan side, who have been dominant once again under Flick’s guidance.
